Read labels.

Two weeks ago, I went to the supermarket and stopped at the section where are the sugar substitutes, had returned to see if I was buying a product that was stevia and when he did not, I saw that there were other products with stevia but I have the habit of reading labels and ingredients, and I found with the surprise, that have sugar and stevia, but say no calories, something strange. Then I went to the dairy section, and I saw a yogurt which contained stevia and I read the ingredients and oh surprise again also contained sugar, this product only said light and low in sugar, this last in small letters below the product name.

This impressed me because many times by not reading the ingredients of the products we buy, we do not even realize what they are eating, but doing so helps us to select appropriate food and allows buy healthier. In addition to other benefits such as:
  • Avoid taking a scare in case of allergies, intolerance to certain ingredients or even affect people with diabetes.
  • It helps to know the ingredients thoroughly giving us a clue if we want to acquire that food is very elaborate or to what extent is more natural or not. For this we must take into account the amounts of preservatives, colorings, flavorings for use in its manufacture.
  • Nutritional tables that we provide labels that serve to control calories, fat and sugar contributions that we get to the mouth.
There are points to consider in product labels before buying:
  1. Serving size. Check how much brings and then relate it to consumption. If for example includes 100 gr. but you consume 50 gr. the nutritional information divide by 2.
  2. Calories. Expressed in kcal, it is the amount per serving of the package, so you should divide the total of the day that you need approximately 2000 Kcal.
  3. Total fat. This includes healthy fats (mono and polyunsaturated) and fats that are not and we must limit their consumption (saturated) and avoid (trans).
  4. Cholesterol and sodium. These elements should be limited and reduce consumption, because excess produce cardiovascular disorders.
  5. Total carbohydrate. It includes sugars, dietary fiber and other carbohydrates. Check especially the kind of sugar added to the product.
  6. Proteins. Important for the formation and development of muscles.
  7. Ingredients. Are presented in accordance wing containing the product number in descending order and of course, the less ingredients have better and healthier.
  8. Reduced fat, low fat or sugar, Light, etc. They are buzzwords not necessarily mean they are healthy and nutritious, so be careful.

I know that maybe seems complicated, but the reward is very good, take care of our health.

Political fanaticism.

Political fanaticism.    In recent years, a very latent phenomenon that has been growing dangerously and vertiginously, in a context of high polarization; this distorter is presented as an enemy of electoral conscience and a healthy and mature democracy, it is political fanaticism.    But let's start by defining fanaticism:    According to the definition of the Royal Spanish Academy : it is an “excessive passion and tenacity in the defense of beliefs or opinions, especially religious or political ones”.    For Voltaire: “Fanaticism is to superstition what delirium is to fever, what rage is to anger. He who has ecstasies, visions, who takes dreams for realities and his imaginations for prophecies is a novice fanatic with great hopes; he may soon get to kill for God's sake."    Therefore, fanaticism is identified by the desire to impose their ideas, despise those who are different, be based on a series of thoughts that are unquestionable, have a square view of t
