Mexico's independence

Celebrating Mexico.

Taking advantage of September I'm going to talk about tradition, the party of the Independence of Mexico.

Mexico is a country rich in every way, its people, its ecosystems, food, music, and of course, when it comes to celebrate Mexico, everyone makes a big party throwing the house out the window.

The Independence Day of Mexico begins to be celebrated from 15 at night waiting for the President and the governors of each state, give called for independence.

Cultural note: The War of Independence begins (strictly speaking) the morning of September 16, 1810, when Father Miguel Hidalgo gives the so-called "Grito de Dolores" and ends on September 27, 1821 (11 years later) with the entry triumphant, of the Trigarante Army, led by Agustin de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero, in a jubilant Mexico City. The main objective of this movement (armed and social) was to liberate our territory from Spanish rule and in every corner of the colony to forget completely the concept of Viceroyalty. (Yes is the Sept. 16, not May 5).

Well continue with the party, this season all Mexico dresses in green, white and red flags waving throughout the Republic, the squares are decorated and illuminated, like the presidential palace, government palaces and municipal because is there where political representatives give called for independence remembering as did Miguel Hidalgo.

Plenty of food, very important part of these celebrations, homes, restaurants can not miss the traditional snacks such as tamales, mole, pozole and chiles in walnut sauce are always present, plus a variety of snacks, Mexican candy, punch, tequila, music, dance and fireworks.

I remember my parents took us to the square of my city to walk, see how adorned the square and go visit the various food stalls, crafts, souvenirs, games, candy (cotton candy or sweet crystallized), balloons, etc. . Of course we were only going for a short time because many people but many people, and better we were returning home to see the called for Independence on television.

Many people dress up in a typical Mexican costume or with the colors of the Mexican flag, families and friends come together to shout VIVA MEXICO!

If any chance, you visit Mexico, a Sept. 15 go and enjoy this great celebration and of course screaming.

¡VIVA MEXICO!

Earthquakes-Mexico

Earthquakes in Mexico.   In Mexico along with other countries, earthquakes are very common and this is because it is part of the Belt or Ring of Fire, located on the coasts of the Pacific Ocean and is characterized by concentrating some of the most important subduction zones of the world, which causes an intense seismic and volcanic activity in the areas covered.   The National Seismological Service in Mexico recorded only 16 thousand 540 earthquakes in the last 12 years, which means that there are almost 4 earthquakes per day in the country. Throughout the history of Mexico there have been dev astating earthquakes of great magnitude: One of the largest earthquakes in Mexico was March 28, 1787, on the coast of Oaxaca, with a magnitude of 8.6. Political fanaticism.

Political fanaticism.    In recent years, a very latent phenomenon that has been growing dangerously and vertiginously, in a context of high polarization; this distorter is presented as an enemy of electoral conscience and a healthy and mature democracy, it is political fanaticism.    But let's start by defining fanaticism:    According to the definition of the Royal Spanish Academy : it is an “excessive passion and tenacity in the defense of beliefs or opinions, especially religious or political ones”.    For Voltaire: “Fanaticism is to superstition what delirium is to fever, what rage is to anger. He who has ecstasies, visions, who takes dreams for realities and his imaginations for prophecies is a novice fanatic with great hopes; he may soon get to kill for God's sake."    Therefore, fanaticism is identified by the desire to impose their ideas, despise those who are different, be based on a series of thoughts that ar...
