Mexican researcher manages to eliminate 100% of the Human Papilloma Virus.
After 20 years of work and research, Eva Ramón Gallegos, a Mexican researcher together with her team from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), specifically from the Escuela Nacional de Ciencias Biológicas (ENCB), managed to eliminate 100% of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). , in 29 women from Mexico City.
This great contribution is a new alternative for the treatment of this virus and the hope of ending cervical cancer.
How is this therapy?
It is photodynamic therapy, a non-invasive technique, in which a drug called aminolevulinic delta acid is applied to the cervix, transforming after four hours into a fluorescent substance that accumulates in the damaged cells, which subsequently helps eliminate them with a laser beam.
With this photodynamic therapy, only the damaged cells are eliminated and it does not affect the healthy parts, so it is a safe alternative and without side effects.
There is no doubt that with these scientific advances in the not too distant future there will be other alternatives and cures for other diseases.
