Alternativa contra el VPH.

Investigadora mexicana logra eliminar en un 100% el Virus del Papiloma Humano.

Tras 20 años de trabajo e investigación, Eva Ramón Gallegos, investigadora mexicana junto su equipo del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), específicamente de la Escuela Nacional de Ciencias Biológicas (ENCB), lograron eliminar el 100% del Virus del Papiloma Humano (VPH) en 29 mujeres de la ciudad de México.

Esta gran aportación es una nueva alternativa para el tratamiento de este virus y la esperanza de acabar con el cáncer cervicouterino.

¿Cómo es esta terapia?

Se trata de una terapia fotodinámica, una técnica no invasiva, en la cual se aplica un fármaco llamado ácido delta aminolevulínico en el cuello uterino, transformándose después de cuatro horas en una sustancia fluorescente que se acumula en las células dañadas, lo cual ayuda posteriormente a eliminarlas con un rayo láser.

Con esta terapia fotodinámica sólo se eliminan las células dañadas y no afecta a las partes sanas, por lo que es una alternativa segura y sin efectos secundarios.

No cabe duda de que con estos avances científicos en un futuro no muy lejano habrá otras alternativas y curas para otras enfermedades.
