Heart

 Heart attack.

We are all likely to have a heart attack, but many of us do not know how to identify the symptoms and what to do in case of being present in a case like these, that is why this time I want to share the symptoms and some of the first aid that we can apply.

A heart attack occurs when the blood flow that carries oxygen to the heart is blocked. The myocardium is deprived of oxygen and part of the heart muscle begins to die because of a sudden lack of blood supply.

Symptom.

Symptoms vary from person to person, and may be mild or intense. Women, the elderly and diabetics are more likely to have subtle or unusual symptoms.

Among the symptoms that we can identify are:

  • Changes in mental state, occurs more in older adults.
  • Chest pain which is a pressure, compression or fullness. It is common for the pain to be located in the center of the chest, but it can also be felt in the jaw, shoulder, arms, back and stomach. It can last for more than a few minutes or be intermittent.
  • Cold sweat.
  • Dizziness.
  • Nausea (more common in women).
  • Numbness, pain or tingling in the left arm, but the right arm may be affected individually or in conjunction with the left arm.
  • Difficulty breathing.
  • Weakness or fatigue.
First aid. What do we do when we are with a person who has the symptoms of a heart attack?
  • Keep calm.
  • Ensure that the person sit down and rest.
  • Loosen any tight fitting garment.
  • Ask if the person takes medications such as nitroglycerin for a known heart disease and help take it.
  • If pain continues to rest or within 3 minutes after taking nitroglycerin, seek urgent medical help.
  • If the person (baby, child or adult) is unconscious and does not react, call the local emergency number and then start CPR.
  • Never leave the person alone.

How to prevent it?

Although we can all suffer from a heart attack we can prevent it and for this it is necessary:

  • No Smoking.
  • Check blood pressure.
  • Control cholesterol.
  • If you are diabetic, keep your blood sugar levels stable.
  • Lose weight if you are obese, maintain a healthy body weight.
  • Exercise.
  • Eat balanced and healthy.
  • Decrease the amount of alcohol. If possible do not drink.
  • Perform a general checkup.

The most important thing is to prevent and not to mourn.

Earthquakes-Mexico

Earthquakes in Mexico.   In Mexico along with other countries, earthquakes are very common and this is because it is part of the Belt or Ring of Fire, located on the coasts of the Pacific Ocean and is characterized by concentrating some of the most important subduction zones of the world, which causes an intense seismic and volcanic activity in the areas covered.   The National Seismological Service in Mexico recorded only 16 thousand 540 earthquakes in the last 12 years, which means that there are almost 4 earthquakes per day in the country. Throughout the history of Mexico there have been dev astating earthquakes of great magnitude: One of the largest earthquakes in Mexico was March 28, 1787, on the coast of Oaxaca, with a magnitude of 8.6. Rebozo-español

Rebozo Mexicano.
