Constellation Carina

The universe.

"In an infinite universe, many things escape, to human reason". Carlos Ruiz Zafon

A few days ago I was with my mom watching the universe in broad daylight, of course it was with an application that she has in her cell, but being traveling the universe I came across a constellation that I did not know existed and best of all is called like me, "Carina" yes with C, not K lol, finally makes sense my name, well no, but all women with this name I know is written with K.

I started researching about this new discovery for me and this was what I found and I want to share.

The constellation Carina is also known as The Keel, the bottom part of old ships and is one of the richest in the sky, because it contains a dense population of open clusters of good magnitudes. Carina is a circumpolar constellation south, located near the south pole of the sky and thus, invisible from the northern hemisphere.

It also contains the famous Eta Carina Nebula where it is a true titan of titans. It refers to Eta (η) Carinae, one hypergiant blue star in the galaxy, and also features the star Canopus, the second brightest star in the sky, near the brightest star, Sirius. Canopus was the pilot's name flotilla Menelaus. It is at the end of the constellation.

Carina was originally a part of Argo Navis, which was a large ship in the night sky. Since then it was divided into four constellations: Carina, Puppis, Vela and Pyxis, and together form a huge sector that dominates the southern sky, running through its entire length fringe of the Milky Way.

Many civilizations thought Carina was a ship. In classical mythology, Argo Navis was the ship of Jason and the Argonauts sailed the seas in search Golden skin. Others say the ship belonged to Menelaus, husband of Helen of Troy. Ancient Egyptians believed that the ship belonged to Osiris and Isis.

It is difficult to see the shape of a boat in the image without the rest of Argo Navis. But you can see that the constellation is "U-shaped" which is a feature of the bottom of the boat, as the form of old wooden boats during the era of discovery.

What did you think ?, often we must see and enjoy what nature and the universe has.

"If we really saw the Universe, perhaps we would understand". Jorge Luis Borges

Earthquakes-Mexico

Earthquakes in Mexico.   In Mexico along with other countries, earthquakes are very common and this is because it is part of the Belt or Ring of Fire, located on the coasts of the Pacific Ocean and is characterized by concentrating some of the most important subduction zones of the world, which causes an intense seismic and volcanic activity in the areas covered.   The National Seismological Service in Mexico recorded only 16 thousand 540 earthquakes in the last 12 years, which means that there are almost 4 earthquakes per day in the country. Throughout the history of Mexico there have been dev astating earthquakes of great magnitude: One of the largest earthquakes in Mexico was March 28, 1787, on the coast of Oaxaca, with a magnitude of 8.6. It is also known as "The Great Mexican Tsunami," and caused one of the greatest damages in the history of Oaxaca, flooding everything in its path up to six kilometers inland, near what is now Puerto Angel and...

Fanaticism.

Fanaticism ... beyond rationality. Feeling the passion for something is extremely positive because it leads us to achieve our goals, but when it becomes an uncontrolled obsession goes to the negative side. Extreme fanaticism has existed for many years, throughout history to the present, many cases have been known where a person or a group of people perform irrational acts damaging others. "When fanaticism has hardened the brain, the disease is almost incurable." Voltaire.   The word fanaticism is made up of fan: which refers to an enthusiastic follower of a person or thing in particular; and by ism: this term refers to a doctrine or belief. So it can be said that fanaticism is the vehement pursuit and defense of a person, doctrine or religion in an extremely passionate way, losing any critical sense, breaking the barriers of the rational, leading people to take actions that can threaten even against common sense and is characterized mainly by defending and ...
